
DNR HUNTER EDUCATION COURSE
April 3, 4 & 5, 2025
The Howard-Suamico Hunter Education Instructors Group is offering a 3-day DNR certified Hunter Education Course. This is a course focusing on the safe, responsible handling of firearms. It is geared toward youth, 12 years of age and older, and persons new to the shooting sports.
- Students successfully completing the course will receive their DNR Hunter Education Certification (required of persons born after January 1, 1973 to purchase a WI hunting license).
- PRIOR ON-LINE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this course at https://dnr.wi.gov/education/outdoorskills/safetyeducation.html See webpage “details; additional instructions will be emailed to students prior to the start of class.
- Prior to the start pf the 3-day classroom sessions, students must successfully complete the on-line portion of the course at website, https://www.hunter-ed.com/wisconsin-hunt/ and the 3-day classroom portion of the course which includes the required field day, field test and written test.
Dates:
- Thursday, April 3, 2025 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Friday, April 4, 2025 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Saturday, April 5, 2025 8:00 am –3:00 pm
Location: Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve – Nature Center – Field Day Saturday at the Brown County Sportsmen’s Club.
