The Club
Founded in 1938 by a group of local residents, the Brown County Sportsmen’s Club offers 6 automatic clay trap and skeet machines on fields that overlooks a 14 acre lake. Boasting 103 acres of land located north of Green Bay, Wisconsin with a modern club house built in 2005. The club house contains a shooter register facility and an assortment of other amenities. It offers its members amateur shotgun practice and league shooting, as well as many events throughout the year.
Club Operations
Brown County Sportsmen’s Club has three (3) general membership meetings per year, April, September and December. The December meeting is our election of board members from the general membership. We have 15 board members who have three-year terms each. Five new board members are elected or re-elected each year. The general membership also elects a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer from this board at the December meeting.
This board then meets once a month to discuss your concerns and sees that needed work is carried out. Meetings are the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm. December and January meetings are the 2nd Monday at 7pm. The board divides up various jobs such as trap chairman, mechanic, grounds chairman, etc. among themselves. These people do not necessarily have to do the work themselves, but it is up to them to see that things run smoothly. The board members also see that the club is open every weekend throughout the year for your enjoyment. Generally, these are not paid workers but volunteers who deserve your respect and help, so costs can be kept down and everyone can enjoy our facility.
