Summer Leagues will be starting soon. Please plan on getting your existing team team signed up or forming a new team if you are not currently shooting in a League. The League offers the opportunity to compete with you fellow shooters and socialize after shooting. The Leagues are setup based on the shooter’s ability that allow you to complete against people with similar ability/skills. If you need help setting up a team or finding a team the League Managers can help or contact Ridge Johansen at 920-562-4179.
Consider the Ironman and the 5-Stand Leagues as ways to develop new skills and to prepare for the Fall Hunting Season. Looking forward to seeing you shooting this summer. Contact Ridge Johansen at 920-562-4179, if you have questions on either of these Two Leagues.

The Brown County Sportsman’s Club will be hosting its annual Scholastic Clay Target Region Shoot – Green Bay. The event will be all day May 2, 3 and 4th,
The Club would like to thank all the volunteers that helped with this event. These events are not possible without your support. Thanks to all those that helped that we my have failed to list as well. Special thanks goes to:
Dave Holub for leading the event and doing the majority of the prework planning and post event Lewis money distribution as well as managing all the squading during the event.
Stephine Schreiber for Managing Registration and Money collection for the Day.
Mike Cieslewicz for doing the Data Management for the Day.
Don Will for getting us the colored targets and getting them loaded in the throwers before and removed after. Among the many other prep and post work he handles for us at all of these events. The only compilate was the black targets, which i was reminded is not a color but a lack of color. This was the color most shooters struggled with the most.
Kitchen Crew – Jim D., Pat G., Dan M., Bill K., Again a great deal of prep goes into preparing the kitchen and the food before. They were up so early on the day of I thought they were serving Breakfast. They were not. It just takes that long to prepare lunch. now I appreciate that.
Scores and Target Loaders are too many to list but every event that same people take on the roles and it is greatly appreciated. I know that this group would welcome others to be involved in these areas as well.
Thanks goes out to everyone else of course because all the activities are needed to make these events a success. The above people have the specials knowledge to get these jobs done. They all would be happy to share what they do with others to create a larger pool of volunteers for these rolls. Consider offering to pair with one of these resources to learn how to do the roll in the future. Scoring is another area that we could use more resources. At the end of the day we were looking for a last squad scoring group and although we had a large group at the bar none were willing to score even though they had not all day. If you would like to work with one of the above listed people to gain the skills and help more please contact Ridge Johansen at 920-562-4179. He will get you in contact with the right person. Thanks in advance for your interest.
I have heard comments for club shooters that think we should do these events more often. If so we need those people to step up to volunteer to support the current events. More events would just be more taxing on this small group of dedicated volunteers that do a great job at these events.
