We did get some comments about not being able to offer lunch beyond pizza and not being able to run the meat raffle and 50/50 raffle. This was due to the lack of volunteers to support these efforts. In fact several volunteers on the list are shooters that stepped up day of and changed there plans to help because they could see the clubs need for more assistance. Please talk to Dave Holub or Ridge Johansen if you would be willing to help with the next event so that the club can insure we can fulfill the participants expectations.

Thanks goes out to all the participates that came to shoot at the event.

Green Bay Hears a WHO.

New members say I never knew this nice of a club was so close and I didn’t know about it. We kind of thought we were like the people of WHO-VILLE. We all know the Story of “Horton hears a WHO.” The club decided we needed a sign that said “WE ARE HERE” a little louder. Well now the sign is here and so are we, come out and see what the club has behind the sign.

For those that never heard a “WHO” WE ARE HERE, HORTON

Thanks to the members that worked on the sign and the great community businesses that supported the project. The main Club Members that helped with the project were Dave Holub, Don Will, Al Winiecki, Kevin Koskie, Pete Thomas and Ridge Johansen. Be sure to thanks these people when you see them. If you have ideas you would like to implement to improve the sign, please contact Ridge Johansen, he can help facilitate you in your efforts.

Thanks to the community businesses that supported this effort. Van De Yacht Well Drilling supplied their auger to drill the 6 ft holes and well rigging equipment to set the poles. Troy and Eric Van De Yacht also supplied their time and knowledge to run the equipment. The job went so smooth and safely with the right equipment and knowledge. Thanks to Kimp’s ACE Hardware and Rental for the use to the man lift to install the sign and the training in operations of that equipment. They always have the tools you need to get the job done right and safely. They certainly made that happen for this project. Please look to these companies for your needs in there areas of business. They are a huge part of our Who-Ville, support them like they support you.

Also thanks to LC Hangover, one of our shooting teams, they donated the power poles and the stringer boards for this project.

Details on the sign: It is 12ft by 8ft and the top is 24 feet above the ground. the power pole are about 12 inches in diameter at the basis. As one that helped build it I can tell you the timbers, plywood and sign panels are all heavy and difficult to handle 16 feet in the air. The signs are in a delta configuration for rigidity and for visibility on interstate 41. The angle of the two signs is about 45 degrees to improve that visibility.

Thanks to these community companies that supported the project:

BCSC – Brown County Clay Crushers – Youth Program

Brown County Sportsmen’s Club is proud to host the Brown County Clay Crushers, a rapidly growing SCTP youth shotgun team made up of dedicated athletes ranging from middle school to college. Each week, the team practices at the club on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., where certified coaches focus on discipline, safety, and skill development in a welcoming environment. As the program expands, the team is working to build its MidwayUSA Foundation Endowment, which provides long-term financial stability by allowing the team to withdraw a yearly grant equal to five percent of the endowment’s value. All contributions are matched by the MidwayUSA Foundation, making every donation especially impactful. If you have questions about the team or know a youth who would like to join, we encourage you to reach out at browncountyclaycrushers@gmail.com, the coaches are always happy to help new families get started.
